Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home and Crematory, turned to Dayton Imaging Solutions when they wanted to improve the design and function of their website. They started with a website that got the job done, but needed to be easier for users of the website. The main purpose of their website is help people that are going through a time of grief. So our first task was to create a website that was comforting and easy to use.

Using simplicity and comfort as the basis for the website, Dayton Imaging Solutions developed a custom utility to post and display obituraries. With this feature we also developed a system that would allow visitors to post condolences to friends and family of the loved ones. The condolence feature has been thoroughly used since the website launched in June of 2010. The obituaries are searchable and can be sorted by name and date, allowing family members to go back and view condolences years after the death of their loved one.

Additional features found through-out the website include an image/video gallery for the obituaries and a funeral pre-plan form. The pre-plan form allows users to create an account on the site to plan and save what they or a loved one would like to have happen post-mortem.
